DB2 DBA Consulting
What is a DB2 Database?
DB2 UDB for ZOS is a mainframe relational database management system. It is composed of tables with rows and columns to contain the data elements. DB2 Databases are defined using DDL (Data Definition Language) statements which identify the keys and columns for the table structures. SQL (Structured Query Language) code is used to access data from relational DB2 tables.
Why Tune DB2?
DB2 Databases continue to grow over time and expand in complexity to contain more and more data. The DB2 database parameters which were originally implemented for an application may require adjustments in order to efficiently handle the large amounts of data that the DB2 databases now contain.
